Some guests come to us hungry. Many carry the weight of life’s hardships—grief, anxiety, loneliness. This year, 3,500 more families will turn to us, driven by the rising cost of housing and cuts to food and Medicaid funding. Our Annual Giving Day is coming at a time when our neighbors need to know someone still cares. With your help, we can meet our goal: to feed over 15,000 families this year. - $65 allowed us to distribute an average of $263 of groceries per family, per month.
- In 2024, Feeding Hands provided over $2,800,000 worth of groceries to insecure families.
- More than 11,700 families received food and support.
- 98% of each donated dollar went directly to the food program.
One Mother’s Story: From Groceries to a Nursing Degree.
She was working, studying, raising two kids, but couldn’t keep the fridge full. As a single mom, she juggled full-time nursing school and part-time work, running on empty with a bare fridge and fading strength. She had nothing left to give, except a prayer whispered in exhaustion.
Then, she saw it—a sign by the side of the road that read “Feeding Hands.” It was distribution day. She pulled in, uncertain and desperate. What she found wasn’t just food. It was compassion and a quiet promise from a volunteer: “We’re here for you.”
She left with groceries in the trunk and a little more hope in her heart. Today, she’s a Registered Nurse, stable, thriving, and volunteering with the very people who were there for her in that moment of need.
